Resources

Getting started, and what to have ready.

How a new engagement begins, the documents we usually ask for, and answers to the questions we hear most.

Becoming a client

Four steps to get started

Most clients are fully set up within a few days of the first conversation.

  1. A conversation

Tell us about your situation and what’s due. We’ll explain what’s involved.

  2. The engagement letter

We send the scope and fees in writing. Work starts once you’ve agreed.

  3. Your documents

We send a checklist and a private upload link for the papers we need.

  4. Your calendar

Every filing you owe goes on our calendar, and we take it from there.

Questions

Common questions

Don’t see yours? Ask us

Do I need to file a return if my employer already deducts tax?

Often, yes. Tax deducted from salary doesn’t replace the return and wealth statement, and filing is what keeps you on the Active Taxpayers List. Depending on your income and what you own, it may also be compulsory. We’ll tell you where you stand.

What is the Active Taxpayers List, and why does it matter?

It’s the FBR’s list of people and businesses who have filed their returns. Being on it generally means lower withholding tax on many transactions, such as bank profit and the purchase or sale of property and vehicles.

How do you charge?

Most compliance work is a fixed fee per filing, per month or per year, agreed in the engagement letter before work starts. Advisory questions are charged by the hour. You’ll know the fee before we begin.

Can you help if I’m outside Hyderabad or abroad?

Yes. We handle federal tax and sales tax on services in every province, and most of our work is done remotely: documents through secure upload links, and questions on WhatsApp or email.

How do I send you documents safely?

We send you a private upload link for each request. It lists what we need, goes straight to our secure document store, expires after a few days, and can’t show anything already on file. Please avoid sending CNICs and bank statements by ordinary email.

I’ve received a notice. What should I do?

Note the reply date and send us the notice straight away, along with your return for that year. Don’t ignore it, and don’t reply in a hurry without advice. More on notices and appeals.

I haven’t filed for a few years. Can you help?

Yes. We’ll look at which years are outstanding, what’s required for each, and the best order to bring them up to date.

A return to file, a registration to make, or a notice to answer: we’ll explain what’s involved and what it costs before any work starts.
